But how can you authentically and innovatively engage with your unique learning community? Join our hour no-cost webinar and learn from 2021 CCSSO National Teacher of the Year Juliana Urtubey. Ms. Urtubey will share inspirational examples and stories that illustrate how creating joyous and just spaces is critical and beneficial for students, staff, and parents in your school communities.  In this webinar, participants will:
  • Hear strategies to identify and develop learning spaces that are inclusive and equitable for all students.
  • Learn how to apply different lenses for healthy relationship building with students, families, and communities.
  • Determine appropriate strategies to meet students where they are in terms of academic learning and social and emotional development.
Juliana Urtubey is a first-generation, bilingual immigrant who loved school. Drawn to teaching through a high school teacher leadership academy, she knew it would be important to be a bilingual teacher. Now the 2021 National Teacher of the Year, Ms. Urtubey works to serve as a mirror for her school community, helping students be proud of their identities and their families, and to acknowledge their strengths and contributions to the community.
